complex & complicated:
Therapy for teens and young adults in Gig Harbor and virtually in Washington State
there’s no roadmap for navigating life— sometimes we need support on the journey
setting your own course.
-
It's for you.
You’re navigating the tricky parts of life— social stuff, relationships, dynamics with your family, charting a course towards your future, school pressures, and probably more. Maybe you’re also dealing with some heavy, hard stuff like grief, depression, anxiety or something else.
It can feel really isolating when you’re holding that alone or what you’ve been trying to do to help yourself just isn’t working.
You don’t have to stay stuck.
Therapy offers you a confidential space to explore what’s going on in your world, receive support and to build new ways to cope and ultimately thrive.
-
and for the people who care about you.
Hey parents & caregivers— It isn’t easy to be navigate growing up. The world looks different than when you were growing up, too.
There isn’t a manual to tell you how to parent in this season and you want to support your teen with being the best version of themselves, building the coping skills they need for life and having strong communication with you.
Therapy can support your teen with moving through this messy season.
Within a confidential space, your teen can explore what’s working, what’s not and learn ways to deal with the tough stuff in healthy ways.
Hi, I’m Jen.
I find adolescence such a pivotal, challenging and surprising stage of human development. I also find that it’s a season of life where the person going through it often feels misunderstood.
There are unique pressures in adolescence too — school, changing social relationships, discovering and learning how to live into personal values (all while having adults in your life trying their best to guide you in the ways they are best). Tricky.
I have worked with teens clinically since 2011 in many ways: running a grief support camp, counseling and medical settings, school settings as well as in my private therapy practice. I use blends of therapeutic modalities along with a sense of humor, art/music and teen’s interests in sessions to build a space that feels comfortable, safe and supportive.
